DRKN x Porsche carrera cup

The new king of Porsche Esports Carrera Cup has been crowned and DRKN was there to witness all the virtual racing action. Over 2000 drivers attempted to qualify for the grand final held in Porsche Center Danderyd, Sweden, but only 12 people got the chance to step up onto the stage to battle it out. A total of 3 races at 3 real life racing tracks would determine the ultimate winner.

The live streamed event saw Mattias Stahre win all three races to claim the title ahead of Tobias Olsson and Kimmy Larsson.

After the esports cup finale it was time for their real-life racing counterparts to take the stage and prove their skills to the eager crowd in an exhibition race. Representing DRKN was our very own Hugo Andersson who earlier this year won the Porsche Carrera Approved cup. Unfortunately, the virtual racetrack can be just as unforgiving as the real deal, a minor oversteering mistake and perhaps a late breakage had Hugo in the grass at Mantorp park.

Linus Lundqvist walked away with the win in the exhibition race ahead of the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia total winner Lukas Sundahl.
